My sweet little puppy

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Yesterday my dog Tessie had a cancerous mast cell tumor removed from her back.  She handled the surgery just fine, though today she seems to be sad and/or in pain, as she’s been quietly crying pretty regularly throughout the afternoon.  A couple of friends have asked what the surgery scar looks like, so I’ve decided to post a pictue here (well, after the jump actually).  Hopefully she’ll recover from the surgery and we won’t have any more recurrances of this.

This is for Noah!

…but the rest of you can watch, too.

My great friends Audrey and David have a young son named Noah.  I got to hang out with Noah when I was in northern Virginia for a wedding this fall, and I promised him I’d make a video of my dog Tessie.

Well, better late than never, right?  Enjoy!

A couple of notes:  Thanks Mom and Keith for the camera (a JVC Everio MG155 — great Christmas present!!).  The music is by Madeleine Peyroux, called “Don’t Wait Too Long.”  Maybe you’ll recognize it from this Dockers commercial that aired a few years ago.

A walk on the beach

beach-sf-002.jpg

The fabulous company manager from the American Conservatory Theatre (where “Kiki and Herb” is playing in San Francisco) took me and the pup to the beach today.  I forget the name of the beach, but it was just beautiful, dark sand and pebble, huge dramatical rocks, crashing waves.  Tessie had a blast and is now totally pooped out.

Hi there.

Greetings, world.  My name is Daniel, and this is my blog.

I watch too much TV, love playing poker, am attempting to become a screenwriter, and work as a theatrical stage manager and a personal assistant.  I have a dog, her name is Tessie, and I live in Hollywood (though right now I’m on tour, in San Francisco).

I recently drove cross-country in a truck with the set from the show I’m working on.  Here’s a picture of me and the pup in the cab of the truck.  Perhaps I shouldn’t have been taking pictures while driving, but I survived…drive-005.jpg
